This artwork is my offering to the sacred act of learning from our elders. To sit at their feet, to receive their stories, their ways, their language—it’s a gift I don’t take lightly.
The roots below us remind me that this knowledge isn’t just for me—it’s ancient, passed hand to hand, heart to heart. The syllabary rising above us carries the breath of those who came before, and in choosing to learn, I honor them.
To speak our language is to remember how we once lived.
